What Is Jangeum (잔금) — final balance?

The remaining balance paid at closing, when keys and title transfer.
Jangeum (잔금) is the final payment that settles the purchase price. It is paid on the closing date, when you receive the keys and the 법무사 (scrivener) files the title transfer at the registry.
Why it matters
Closing day brings several costs at once — the 잔금, acquisition tax, registration and the agent fee — so confirm the full all-in figure in advance.
