Why we exist
Renting or buying in Seoul can be daunting when you do not speak Korean: unfamiliar lease types like jeonse and wolse, deposits worth tens of thousands of dollars, and contracts in a language you may not read. Seoul Homes exists to remove that friction — every listing is in English and comes from a verified realtor, developer or property owner, and many of our realtors can guide you through the deposit, the contract, and the paperwork in English.
How we verify our realtors
When a listing shows a “verified” realtor, here is exactly what that means:
A registered business
Every realtor and developer enters their business name (상호), representative (대표) and business registration number (사업자등록번호). Brokers are also asked for their brokerage registration number (중개사무소 개설등록번호).
Checked before approval
The business registration number is checked with Korea's National Tax Service. If the automatic check cannot confirm it, our team reviews the registration certificate by hand before the account is approved.
Credentials shown publicly
Every listing and agent profile displays the agent's registered business details. Where we have checked a broker's registration number against the national brokerage registry, the profile says so with the date. Where it does not, confirm the number with the local district office before you sign.
Working contact details
Agents provide working contact details, and many respond in English, so foreign clients can actually reach the person behind a listing.
