A single open living space combining bedroom, kitchen and bathroom — the cheapest entry.
A 원룸 (one-room) is a studio: one open space with a kitchenette and a separate bathroom. It describes a layout, not a building type, so a 원룸 can sit in an officetel, a villa or a small block. It is the most affordable way to rent in Seoul.
Why it matters
One-rooms suit students and single professionals on a budget. For the managed-building package (security, elevator, parking), look for a studio inside an officetel.
